Deployment
The Problem
The constant loading, unloading, and transporting of supplies during deployment can cause significant damage to valuable equipment. The current state of this labor intensive process requires tedious blocking and bracing, reducing efficiency and increasing the margins for error. After arriving at the correct destination, time and money must be spent unloading, sorting, and replacing broken equipment. Since 2001, the U.S. Department of Defense has paid over $800 million in container detention fees.
The Solution
MulePACs are available in several sizes, ranging from 44” x 44” x 29” to 52” x 88” x 42” with internal capacities ranging from 19 to 77 cubic feet. There are only two heights, and the cargo boxes are designed in a way that two standard MulePACs stacked together are the same height as three stacked short MulePACs. This system allows for various sizes of equipment while completely filling each MILVAN to capacity. Stand alone MulePACs can be quickly unloaded in theater, reducing or completely eliminating container detention fees.
